    Hello everyone,
    My first post here.
I have IE 6 and SP1 installed. My browser did not seem to be working well. There were times when downloading a webpage seemed to stall and I had to disconnect and reconnect to get things moving again.
I went to Add/Remove programs and saw that I could repair Internet Explorer. I saw that there were about 20 problems. The repair function fixed all but two. These are :
"Version 6.0.2600.0 of file webcheck.dll exists, but the version needs to be greater than 6.0.2800.1100 "
    and:
"Version 6.0.2600.0 of file pngfilt.dll exists, but the version must be greater than 6.0.2800.1100 "
I tried downloading and installing IE 6 and SP1 from the Microsoft site, thinking that the new version of IE6 would automatically replace these old files. Not so. When I checked I found the same messages as above.
Can anyone please tell me how to proceed from here?
    System details:
    P3 450 mhz.
    Win.Me
    512 mb RAM
    Thanks in advance.
    glider.

Both these files can fit on a floppy. I would find a friend, do a start, find for these files. Check the properties of them for the correct version, copy them to a floppy. Then drop them in c:\windows\system folder and replace yours.
