I bought a new Logitech Momo Force Feedback wheel to use with my computer racing games. I am having problems installing the software that came with it. During the install, it says I have legacy versions of Logitech software that need to be uninstalled first. My previous wheel was also a Logitech and I also have a Logitech joystick for flying games. When I go to Add/Remove programs to uninstall, it says I need the disk for the software I am trying to uninstall. The two disks I have are Logitech WingMan 3.25C and Logitech WingMan 3.60B. I tried putting both of them in and it says "The path Logitech Gaming Software CD" can't be found. I've tried dealing with Logitech tech support through email and over the phone and they promise to get back to me but don't. I am hoping somebody here can help. Thanks in advance.

I have had problems with Logitech software conflicting with itself (other Logictech devices). If I can get the device to work without installing the software, I don't install it. If you connect the device and Windows New Hardware wizard runs, see if you can get it to find the drivers on the CD, but avoid running the CD (software) installer. It might avoid this software version conflict.

You may have updated the software (drivers) over the internet, that is why it can no longer find the path to the uninstaller. Look for an uninstaller in Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs. You can look for an uninstaller in Start -> All Programs -> (Logitech folder/s). You might find the uninstaller.exe file under C:\Program Files\Logitech (I expect).

Search the FAQs at the Logictech website.

I found the same situation, I needed to uninstall all the related Logitech software before installing new or reinstalling the old ones. As I said, see if you can get the devices to work without running the installers, it may mean some manual configuration, but it will avoid the conflicts.
