Hi, hope this is the right forum. I recently did a format of my XP machine. Everything went well till I installed Adwcleaner. I had it on prior to the format and it was fine. What happens is I d/l it and it's fine. The second time I use it or reboot I get a error message. " adwcleaner_50.031.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close" It's a M/S message wanting me to send the error report. I've tried firewall/virus off. I'm completely lost on this one guys.

    Thanks in advance

rsinfo, from Bleeping Computers site for ADWcleaner Operating System: Windows XP/Vista/7/8/Windows 10

Hi Bimmer Guy, I would suggest you get a FRESH download of ADWcleaner every time you wish to use it.
If you have ADWcleaner in your D/L Folder and you open it to use it a 2nd time - you will most likely get the message it's corrupted.
Always Delete the copy from your Folder and get a fresh one. Neil.

Hi Neil, thanks for replying. Yes the version in question supports XP. Oddly enough I have been doing exactly that. That was the only way I could get it to work. Just was concered this only happened after my format. Thanks again.
