I ran a repair using the WinXP cd. Now I have a new administrator account, which windows will automatically boot to. I can't delete it from my other admin. account. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    - What are the exact account names?
    - Do they both have profile sections under documents & settings
    - Do you want it to automatically start and log on with an account or ask you about it?
    - XP-home or XP-Pro?
    - Stand alone or network and if XP-Pro, workgroup or domain?
    - What problem did you need to fix with the repair?

The account names are 'Me' which is my account and 'Administrator' which is the account that Windows created. Administrator only has a profile when logged on under its own account. No profile is available under Me. I want it to automatically start into my account. This is XP Professional. Local network inside my fraternity, also part of Penn State network. My computer is part of a workgroup within the fraternity server. I do not remember clearly what the problem with the computer was. I would boot to windows, at which point the computer would automatically restart. I just ran a repair to replace any corrupted system or .dll files.

You want to leave the Administrator account there and active. Even if you don't use it.

I'm confused though. Do I understand that when you open the Documents & Settings folder you do not see subfolders for Administrator, All Users, Default User, Me?

Ok, leaving the account will not be that much of a hassle. Is there any way I can boot directly to a specific account though? There is no subfolder for Administrator under Documents and Settings. The account identity for Administrator under Control Panel, User Accounts, is only available when I am signed on under that account. This confuses me since the only other account Me is an administrator account. I should be able to go delete the new account from there.
