I have a Canon WiFi printer that's been working just fine up until today. When I go to print, a message comes up in the printer box saying "printer not responding." The printer spooler is running, no problems there, no print jobs in the queue, and my WiFi light is lit on my printer. The printer will print if I plug in the USB cable. When I go to troubleshoot it looks for the Canon printer on the network and a message comes up stating "cannot be found ". I've been pulling my hair out for two hours and still cannot find the problem. I have also re-entered the wireless access code to no avail. Latest drivers are also installed. I have not added any software or made any changes on the computer. At least none that I'm aware of. Any help/suggestions from the geeks would be gratefully appreciated.

Did that. I removed the printer (remove device) and plugged in the USB cable and reinstalled the software along with the latest drivers to no avail. I don't have a problem with my WiFi as my computer (internet) works just fine. Just checked the on screen menu on the computer and the wireless connection says active and the SSID number is correct. I'm stumped but then again I'm no geek.

    Power OFF printer.
Remove prinbter USB cable both ends.
    Uninstall the device (printer).
Uninstall any and all Canon software.
    Insert Canon CD.
Install Canon software and choose the option for wifi printing.
    Turn ON printer when prompted.
    Do NOT reconnect USB cable.

I did try that with no luck. Without connecting the USB cable, the printer is not listed in devices and I did not connect the USB cable. After selecting the option "wireless" in the Canon set up software, the computer then searches for but cannot find the wireless printer even though it is connected to my wireless access point. The printer screen, under wireless LAN settings, states that the connection is active and the wifi light is on. The screen also shows the correct access point ID. Back to square one but I thank you very much for your input.

I found the problem. The BJ Network Port was not selected in the port menu. I also had to reset my router, why I don't know but the troubleshooter said I needed to do this. Thanks to all who responded.
