What do you mean by "unwanted"?

The winsxs-folder is vital to the system and can not be deleted!

A "normal" installation ends up on C: (unless you multiboot) which prompts the question how it got onto D:?

Do you run a multiboot system?

Is D: the system partition of Windows 7 or is Windows 7 installed on C:?

Is there a winsxs-folder on C: as well as on D:?

If so, is the winsxs-folder on D: empty?

'Unwanted' because it is a failed installation in d drive, so there is a wanted winsxs in c drive; it is not the normal disk cleanup.
In my previous I said 'For the pc which can't boot the installation in any old existing partisions, partision need to be reformated it can to boot'. That is when I try install in drive but failed.
Anyway Bill there is no update cleanup as mentioned in the article
