On my wife's laptop, when she sends a message instead of going out to the Internet it goes to the outbox. She then has to send the email from there for it to go out. I tried detect and repair to no avail.
I removed the entire Microsoft Office Professional 2003 and reinstalled it. Still the same problem. Any suggestions? Thanks, José

Hi jvivanco...Welcome to WindowsBBS...I hope you enjoy your stay here... :)

There is an option to "Send immediately when connected "...
    - Open Outlook 2003
    - Click on "Tools" then select "Options" from the menu
    - Click on the "Mail Setup" tab
    - In the "Send/Receive" section make sure "Send immediately when connected" is selected\checked
    - Click "Apply" button then "OK" to exit

If "Send immediately when connected" is already selected\checked off try the following fix...

Outlook 2003 sent emails go to outbox instead of going out

    Hi Ken,
I believe that I read somewhere that this is your name. Thanks for welcoming to the board, and thanks for trying to help me. I had done the: "Send immediately when connected" in the options screen. I removed the check mark and placed it back again. This did not clear the problem. I tried the "http://support.microsoft.com/kb/3123...d=2520&sid=228" however, I got a message stating that the location was not found. Many thanks for trying to help, I am at a "witts end" (I think this is the right expression)
Again, many thanks for your help. José
