Problem installing libusb program(usb plug n play connect/reconnect sounds)

I am trying to install a program called libusb for my computer. When I go to install it the sounds that are heard when you connect/disconnect a usb device occurs about 8 different times. Then when I go to run the progam, I get a "send MS error report" popup.

I tried this program on another computer and it worked fine. I have used the latest version of registry mechanic on all pc's, no bugs or viruses and it's annoying to keep trying just to have it not work.

Here is the name of the program installed: libusb-win32-filter-bin-0.1.12.1
Here is the .exe file associated with it: ps3sixaxis_en is in system 32 folder

When I go to run, cmd, ps3sixaxis_en.exe is when I get the error.

 

Why are you installing LibUSB-Win32? I can only guess that it is to allow for running a PS3 controller on your PC, but you have not stated that explicitly.

What do the details of the error report tell you?

Personally, I have never liked Registry Mechanic because it has a way of messing with my registry, the consequences for which show up in non-responsive programs, etc. It seems to do more harm than good. However, your situation may be different. Have you tried restoring to an earlier Registry Mechanic backup and reattempting your LibUSB-Win32 installation?

 

yeah it's for a ps3 controller on my pc.

I've restored the registry from a year ago and I still have this problem. I don't know why it's doing this.

And for whatever reason it works fine on another pc, but on this one it gives me this error

Yes it's for ps3 controller on my pc. Another thing. When I connect the controller to my pc it doesn't say "new hardware found" "ps3 controller "

On the computer this program works on it'll say when I connect the controller, new hardware found.

I've restored my registry to a year ago, reinstalled, still having same problem. Here's a pic:
