Problem installing Flash Player update KB923789

The update downloaded but would not install after 4 attempts. The error code is "0x643 ". I noticed on the MS website 3 others with the exact same problem. Anybody out there who knows what my problem is?

Solution to problem

I wrote to MS and they asked me to do a manual install. When I tried it I
received an error message that the "version of Macromedia Flash you have
installed does not match the update you are trying to install ". I then went
to add/remove programs and uninstalled Flashplayer which was version 8. Then
opened IE which asked me to install Flashplayer because it could not render
the page properly. I proceeded to install the Flashplayer, which took 2
attempts and I check with the Flashplayer checker which can be located with
Google to be sure it was installed. Do not forget to reboot after the
installation and before using the checker.
I then went to IE and did the windows update. With the new Flashplayer,
apparently the update is not necessary because it did not appear. Closed case!
