    Hi,
I've just bought a new hardrive for my computer and set up Microsoft Outlook Express 6.0 I've transferred my emails and address book and I cannot send emails nor receive them.
When I click, (Send/Receive All) I get this error code:

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'mail.bigpond.com', Server: 'bigpond.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

When I try to send emails, I get this error code:

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'mail.bigpond.com', Server: 'bigpond.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10051, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

My server is bigpond and my computer runs on MS XP.
Incoming mail (Accounts/Properties/Servers) is set as bigpond.com, and outgoing mail is set as bigpond.com, changing them to pop.bigpond.com and smtp.bigpond.com respectively has produced the same error message.

I've checked all the settings online a few times and don't know what else to do! Any thoughts would be helpful.

    Thank-you
    Michelle

I actually sorted out the problem with a Telstra technician last night.
    Thankyou anyway.
