    Encountered special_pool_detected_memory_corruption

i know that parameter 1 of the parameter list given indicates the address of the driver. But how do i know which driver it is referring to?

Currently using XP (Home Edition) with SP2 installed.

Now i can't even get in to safe mode. Does anyone know how to resolve the problem? Thanks..

It's gonna be pretty tough since you can't make Safe Mode.

Disconnect all peripherals except the keyboard, mouse and Monitor. Pull the modem and NIC if present. Pull half of the memory if you have multiple sticks. Try booting again. If no joy, swap the memory sticks and try again.

If no joy, I'd move on to a repair Install. That will replace any damaged files but save your personal data. You will lose your Service Pack and HotFixes. There is no guarantee that it will fix your problem since you may have some hardware problem.

If the Repair Install doesn't work, consider a clean install. A good disk image backup is recommended. As an alternate data retrieval method, you could possibly slave this drive to another healthy system and get your data from it.

With no Safe Mode to work with and no clue as to why the system failed, we're pretty well up the creek. I'm hoping you may have some bad RAM and it shows up on the swap test. That's a long shot though since bad RAM should be indicated at POST.

    Good luck.
EDIT: I just noticed your level of experience and perhaps you should consider taking this beast in to a bench tech. The things I outlined aren't easily pulled off if you are a beginner with these one-eyed monsters.

However, i am able to get into recover console mode. Is there any way to resolve the problem from there?

Is it possible to use the command verifier or disable to solve the problem?
