I have just exported my contacts in Outlook Express to Outlook 2002. When I am in the Inbox and start a new mail and hit the "To" button to bring up the "Select Names" dialog box, most of the addresses are displayed in the order first name, last name, even though the Contacts are set to display and file as in the reverse order i.e. file and dispaly as last name, first name. This makes it very difficult to search as the the "Select Names" dialog box does not recognise the last name.

It is not just the contacts that I have exported. The same happens with new added contacts.

    Thanks all

If you Open/Edit a contact and click on the Full Name button, is the first name in the first name field?

Pick one of your contacts and open it to see all the detail info. In the "name" section you should see the option FIRST NAME and then LAST NAME. Are these fillerd in properly? Or is the first name actually in the LAST NAME field.
