I have some old home movies (with both sound and video) that were burned onto a DVD by my father a few years ago and I want to make copies of them for my kids. I tried one using Express Burn but ran into "express burn error with write address" when the copy process was being finalized and the new disk is now useless.

I read in places that upgrading to the latest version of Express Burn solved theproblem and that upgrading firmware to the writer might be a solution but neither is applicable as the version and firmware are current.

Has anyone got a solution on how to do this easily - i.e. software that they know works without a hitch?

    I am running Win7 Pro 64bit

    Thanks

Get free software DVD Decrypter. It can copy the dvd as an ISO file. You can then use that iso to burn new dvds. Windows 7 has built in ISO burning, rt click the iso and select "burn disk image ". And you'll also have the iso files for future use.

"DVD Shrink" and "DVD Decrypter" also work in conjunction with each other.
