The dpi was set at 96 in my netbook and it works fine, was wondering how it would look like with bigger or smaller text, then I clicked "Advanced" under "Setting" of "Display properties" and manually adjusted to different sizes, eventually got stuck with "20%" which gives very small text size. Now I can't go back to where I began bcoz everything just looks too small, have been struggling for hours, still can't fix it.....what should I do? Pls help, much appreciated!

You can use tab to move from one option to the other, the arrow keys to move the resolution cursor, and enter to validate (when you're on ok, or apply).

You may have to boot into safe mode in order to be able to change back to the 96dpi setting. I have had this happen to me when I was trying out different settings. It seems to get to a point where the settings lock up at a setting that is not acceptable to your computer. Safe mode will give you a basic default dpi setting

Boot to safe mode, access the display>advanced settings as you already have and then change the setting back to 96dpi, click on "apply" then OK your way back out. Reboot to normal mode.

Hope this helps, please post back your results.

Thank you very...much for your advice! I'm so glad that my screen text problem has finally got resolved! I've tried out both of your methods, but only the one mentioned in the 2nd post works in my case. The "safe mode" really provides a "default" dpi setting where I could never reach with normal mode setting (you're right, I got locked up!).

Again, wanna say thanks to you, I've learned something new here and I'll definitely recommend this site to my friends :)
Have a nice evening at your end, cheers!
