Normally the rightmost portion of a web page is cut off when printed. How can I print a web page so that the entire page width fits the paper? Thanks.

RichC--Click IE's File on the Menubar, then Page Setup. (The Page Setup window may take a while (over a minute) to open depending on what other programs are on your PC. Just wait.)
In the Margins area (lower right) set them as close to zero inches as it will allow. Can't remember, if there is an Apply button click it and OK. Otherwise just click OK.

    Welshjim,
Thanks for your help, that did the job. I figured there was a simple tweak but I overlooked the obvious. The smallest margin it takes is .25" which captures the full page width. One would think this would be the default setting in IE since otherwise...sheesh.

RichC--Thanks for posting back. Always good to hear what worked. Or to learn from what did not!

I just had a look at a manual for your printer. .25 inches is the minimum size for the left margin so it appears there's not much you can do about it. If you take a look at your manual, it shows the minimum margins for all sides of the page. If you dont' have one, you can click here to download one in pdf format.

When adjusting margins fails to allow the whole page to be printed - print in landscape format

Thank you as i do have the book and i did note the Print Margin Specs on p.53, but did not realiize that was the minimum i can make them, so thanks again.

It also seems to me that with this new printer if i want to print from a web page that looks to me to be 1 page, it prints it out anywhere from 3-6 pages long.

Just highlight what you what to print, then print, select "selection ". Prints only what you highlighted.

Yes i highlight what i want most of the time, and then click the option of 'selection' to have it printed.

Mainly i had asked here because my son insisted i had to fix a setting on the printer since recently installing it. I read the book and did not see anything different that i had.

He wanted to print one web page he had seen. He clicked on the printer icon on the Menu bar to have it print that page. It printed out 6 pages, when he thought it would be just 1.

The print button does a 'print all pages'. Always. Mostly.

File~print and you can pick which page or pages you want.
