I am helping a friend with a printing problem. When we select a page to print, the printed document contains the text that we wanted but it also contains the HTML language commands surrounding the text. She has apparently checked or unchecked something to cause this to happen - but can't remember any specific changes. Any suggestions of fixes?

Thanks for the Googles. I found a number of threads and posts with common solutions that appear to mirror my situation. Won't be able to try the fixes until tomorrow. I will post back to let you know if I got the problem fixed.

I tried Googling the subject but I don't appear to have the magic with search terms that you do.

All is well. I came up with 3 or 4 procedures to try and the first one worked. (It also looked like the easiest one to try.) I reset the default web browser to IE in Set Program Access and Defaults. The problem was apparently related to an uninstall of AOL software which, as is usually the case, left some entries that gummed things up.

    Thanks for your help goddez1.

Always glad to see a good ending. All I did was point you in the right direction. You did most of the work. Your welcome for the small part I had in this. From what I gather, while glancing through the few links that I did pre-screen, an IE reset seemed to be the most commonly used and successful fix.

Thank you, back at you, for sharing the fix.
