I am having an odd problem printing out email or web pages while using Netscape 7.1. Everything that I print out recently is oversized; for example, an article from www.nytimes.com (using Internet Explorer 6) prints out in size 12 font, but the same article while in Netscape prints out in size 16 font. Any email printed out from Netscape Mail is also larger than usual. I've checked preferences and settings in Netscape but I must be missing something. Any idea about what is going on?

Did you check your Preferences(general, not mail)|Appearance|Fonts
size 16 is default. If you have unchecked "allow other documents..." it may explain why.

I checked general preferences and even tried changing the default to a smaller font size, which changes the appearance on screen, but does not change the printed size. I have also double-checked the settings on my printer without success. Any font printed while in Netscape is still oversized (and larger than onscreen) except .pdf documents. Printing while using Internet Explorer, Word, Publisher, etc. is the expected size. Same problem with email.

    Hi lee2000,

There are numerous bugs on this issue, and if you would like to read them, I will be glad to post the links.

The only thing I can think of that you might try, which was suggested in one of the Bug Reports:

"See if changing the font size in Edit, Preferences Appearance Fonts helps the print size for webpages and e-mail messages. Experiment by changing both the proportional and monospace font sizes up or down, then print a test page. "
