Printer will not print

    I bought a new Lexmark 1200 printer, I installed it and did the test page and all, everything seemed to install correctly. I can print pictures, but I cannot print documents from microsoft word or office. I tried notepad as well, nothing. Is there a setting or something I am missing? I am using windows xp, and installed it from the install disc.

    When printing from Word - File > Print - is the printer shown in the dropdown list of available printers and have you then selected it?

    Is the Lexmark set as the default printer?
