Printer is Crazy or I am!

    Ok I've had the same Deskjet 722c since forever.. I have XP SP2 Home. Recently My printer has decided that blue is the color to use when printing from the internet and email while black still comes out when using MS Office. The printer tests ok when cleaning the cartriages but is all blue when running the test page from the Control Panel>Printers>Properties> Print test page...........help! I tried HP but their online "checker" said I have the latest driver and I couldn't seem to find any older drivers anywhere..........

    There lies the problem :) This may be a driver problem or an internal problem in the printer.

    For a start I suggest you uninstall the printer and all it's associated software and reboot. Then reinstall the printer following HP's instructions to the letter. If you have the original installation CD that will contain the driver you first used.

    If it is a USB printer try using a different port.

    I imagine you are using a genuine HP cartridge or a refurbished one as I have not seen HP compatibles on the market.
