    There is basically nothing wrong with this printer. It still prints OK. But, when it starts to print, it goes forward about 4 ", then comes back, then goes forward again, comes back a little more then goes on to print. I re-installed the drivers, I had this detup with a parallel cable, then used a USB setup, but is still doing this dance.

    As I say, the printer works, but why doesn't it flow smoothly.

    Your comments and suggestions are always welcomed.
    I got very smart by reading this forum and learning more and more each day

    Sounds like it's having a problem locating the top edge of the paper - maybe a clean out of accumulated paper dust, etc might help.
