Here is the problem, Got 4 boxes 1 me 1 2000 2 xp, 2 printers 1 HP allinone 1 tektroinx 850dp. 1 of the xp boxes cant print, the rest can. got error printing when I tried to print. I deleted printers from the box and tried to reinstall. ERROR no permission... all boxes have and print sharing on... What am I missing... I know this one is simple. The ME box works fine. 1 of the XP boxes is the problem. the printers are shared on the 2000 box. I check permissions and everyone is listed.

Can the problem XP system see and be seen from the network? Can it share files (both get them and give them)?

When you say "Everyone is listed" do you mean:

    • Each user is listed
    • A group that all users are in is listed
    • The "Everyone" group is shown
If "c" then I recommend you set up the user accounts on the PC hosting the printer for each of your users and set permissions based on those rather than using the "Everyone" group.
