Using Print Scr key to capture web pages, Ctrl V to Word document. Since running registry and cleanup software, the web page image too large for the document (cut in half). How do I reset the capture size in Windows XP?

Update: I've just read ReggieB's post: "Click on the "Print Screen" button on the keyboard (hold the alt button down at the same time if you just want to capture the current window). This captures the screen and saves it to the clipboard." It worked!! So now, how do I restore the functionality of using only the Print Scr key to capture an accurate image?

Print Screen key captures the whole screen.
But don't paste into Word. Word is not a graphics editor.
    Paste into Paint by:
start > all programs > accessories > paint > paste (or edit > paste if not windows 7)

Then do whatever you want to edit the image.

Or paste into any other image editor.

    Print Scr

Thank you, TonyT, for your contribution. Were there an attachment option, I could easily show you what I mean. The Print Scr function was simply being used for documentation purposes. Anyway, the situation has resolved itself. ;)

I know that you can paste into Word. You can paste into almost any program. But Word is not an image editor and handles graphic poorly compared to actual image editors. Paint can do more with images than Word can.

Why do you go through all that stuff and not follow the simple most method. Press prt scrn and then paste the image on Paint. Save it as a .jpeg and open it in Microsoft Picture Manager(assuming you have office in your computer)
Rescale the picture or compress it according to your requirement and then paste it in word document or what so ever application. It adds an additional step of resizing it but it is totally worth it process.
