Primary HHD will not boot

Frethog Virus struck.
Current Anti-Virus detected file and cleaned out problem.
Each reboot showed Frethog still present and was detected and deleted.
After two more reboots computer crashed. Froze on WXP splash screen.
WXp safe mode not accessable.
next boot attempt failed. Msg on screen after bios load:
<rwindows root directory> missing W32\ha.dll
load file

Need to boot Disc for retreiving OE E-mail addresses and all e-mails.
Hooked up unbootable disc VIA usb and can see OE files but OE does not recognize older files on unbootable disc. OE only recognizes current C: drive files.

created knoppix cd boot disc using ISORecord
hooked up unbootable disc in to another ccomputer as the only drive.
Inserted Knoppix cd for boot.
No boot. Got msg: unbootable disc insert system bootable disc....

Is there a way to disable OE in drive C: If so, will I then see older files in Unbootable disc hooked up by usb???
