    Help!

While working in xppro, I open and close alot of windows & apps. I hate when I typing/working in one program & another steals the focus.

How can I disable/prevent any program from stealing the focus from main window.

This is not like the x-windows tweak in x-setup pro.

    Thanks in advance.

Hi DigitalFig and welcome to the forum.

Unless the software is written to offer an 'always on top' option (like Task Manager and NoteTab for instance) I don't think you can.

Usually they don't steal the focus though and will stay in the background unless you select them. Some 'pop-up' items do take focus but those are fairly rare I think.

Can you give some examples and maybe someone can offer ideas?

Have you tried TweakUI? Under the heading "General" you'll see "Focus" listed. It has a box labeled "Prevent Applications from stealing focus. "

    Sounds good anyway. :)

Well all right surferdude2. :) Thanks for bailing me out on that one.

As you may have gathered, I'm not a TweakUI (or any other tweak thing) user and often don't think about stuff they might be able to do.
