I presently use StarDownloader and like it, but doesn't seem to play well with FireFox. In IE it's great. In Firefox it doesn't take over the download process in many cases and lets FF do it which is much slower.
What are your preferences for a downloader that works well in both.

    Hello floyd,

Added to your thread title and moved it to this section for the FF experts to look at.

    Regards - Charles

    Hi Floyd,

I've used GetRight for years, but it didn't get along well with FF, either, until I began using the Flashgot extension. Read about it here, but get it here.

Since you already have a download manager you like, note that Flashgot also supports StarDownloader. That should take care of your problem.

Let us know how it works for you.

Jim, thanks. Got FlashGot and your right works like a charm.
    Thanks again.

    Hi Floyd,

Thanks for the reply ... I'm glad to hear that FlashGot it works for you. FWIW, I use IE only on a very limited basis, and never for downloading.
