I receive PPS attachments that are only a few Kb's but have beautiful music. I do understand that PPS use WAV files to embed music, but although I convert MP3 etc to WAV they are many MB in size. How do I reduce the size of WAV files to fit a PPS without creating a huge file?

I'm not sure what your question is.
To reduce WAV file size, you convert it to mp3 file, which is compressed audio file, roughly 10 times smaller, then WAV.

    Thank Broni

I appreciate your nresponse. I would like to embed music into PPS files but unless the files are WAV files PPS woll not embed. I have received PPS files that have music on and are around 1MB in size. When I convert MP3 to Wav I enf up with 27/89 MB rather than a few Kb's

Thanks for that. I can do all that. MP3 files cannot be embedded only wav files can - this I know. If the emailed PPS's music is not embedded then how does it play when send in a email? The emails I receive have beatiful music and are Kb's or maybe 2MB in size. How can this be so. This is my problem. I convert MP3 to wav and end up with a huge file od amany, many MB's. Thanks for the response thus far.

Did you try to extract music from that PPS file to see in what format is it?

My thoughts initially however, when I open the PPS sent by email using PP presentation I can see no indication that there is any music, that is there is no speaker icon on that first or any slide.
    Thanks again

OK Been there done that and the file is a WAV file. I can recover the music from PPS's sent to me but still do not know how they get there so small.
It has been an intresting journey with you. It looks as though I shall have to keep experimenting with WAV file conversions etc. Thanks again.
