:) Hello everybody. This may be a simple question, knowing MS, but, doe's anyone know of a way to convert .pps to another format when you dont have power point on you'r machine. A different program maybe? I have sent several .pps to friends in FL and they say they cant open them. Have tried to tell them how to get the viewer, which they say they have, and still no luck. One even has power point on her machine. Another friend told me they don't have a problem opening the file

Tom F: It isn't exactly what you asked for, but anyone can download and install the PowerPoint Viewer. It's free, and I got mine by doing a Google search for it. If your friends are willing to do that, they'll be able to read PPS files from anybody at any time, without any converting being necessary. Would that help?

No need to convert, if Powerpoint is not installed on the recipients machine get them to use ....

    PowerPoint Viewer 2003

    PowerPoint Viewer 2007

Better still use File > Package for CD when saving the show .....

Thanks guys/gals, I tried to walk them thru the process like I use on my machine. Even furnished the URL, guess I'll just have to disregard sending the files to them. Stacking up more like operator error, if you get my drift. Thanks again and have a good day.
