When I receive a .pps attachment in an Outlook email, the only way I can view it is to "save attachments" (usually to my Desktop) and then I am able to open it from there, not from the actual email. Why is that? Thanks for any clues.

Apparently Speke already has Power Point installed since he can open the files once they are save to the drive.

    Thanks for replies folks.

    Yes - I have Powerpoint

This is a copy from Microsoft support- and it seems to indicate there's not much I can do about it!!

    SYMPTOMS
When you receive a PowerPoint presentation HTM (.htm) file as an e-mail message attachment, an error message similar to the following may appear when you attempt to open it:
    The page cannot be displayed

    CAUSE
This problem can occur if only the presentation HTM file was sent and not the supporting files in the presentation files folder.

    WORKAROUND
The only way to open the presentation HTM file is when the supporting files are included, and the presentation is opened from the hard disk drive and not via an e-mail message attachment.
