How do you record sound from the internet onto a Powerpoint presentation?
Do you need special software (i.e. WinMedia) to record the sound.

A student wants to record the sound from mlb.com onto a powerpoint prez. The MLB.com web site plays the sound, the student records the sound in the powerpoint at a particular slide, but when he plays back there is no sound.

    The volume control is working.
    thanks all.

Hi Sal gal. I don't have a direct answer for you. But I'm thinking you'd have good luck here.

You might try Total Recorder. It records sounds in a roundabout way from internet sites by basically recording whatever goes through the sound card.

Depending on the format of the sound and whether it is streamed, you might try emptying the temporary internet files and then going to the site. Occasionally you can find the sound file in the temporary files.
