We've got a huge project that we're planning with an absolute implementation date that is still some time off. Since we provide periodic project updates via PowerPoint presentations, we would like to reinforce the time remaining until the implementation date, by displaying a digital courtdown display as almost a footnote to each PowerPoint slide. We can certainly embed a graphic and calculate the time remaining until implementation each time we conduct a update presentation, but it would be so much niftier if we could just get the embedded graphic to update itself just prior to each presentation, and it would even be doubly niftier if we could get the countdown display to actually update in realtime (show the lapsed minutes/seconds) between slides (that would really be effective . . . not to mention sweet!)

Suggestions on anyway to incorporate that into PowerPoint, but I'm guessing a "linked" embedded time display (at least the data part), is probably the way to go. Other ideas?
