Hi, I am trying to use power point motion clips for E.Mails etc But when I save them or insert them they don't move any more. The sound clips work with a click but no action with the motion clips. I take it i am doing some thing ( or not doing something ) wrong. Thanks for any suggestions 'demon'

If the particular item you are using is an animated .gif, it should do it's thing when embedded in an email or when sent as an attachment and opened at the other end.

If it is an avi clip, there may be a way to have it work when embedded but I don't know how right off. As an attachment, it should work when opened at the other end assuming they have some app that will run a movie clip.

Of course, if your email is set for plain text, all bets for animation of embedded objects are off. HTML will do the .gifs and RTF may (not sure).

Hi Newt . I checked their properties and they are "Compuserve GIF's" I can send them as a Email but when I open them they dont move , they are sent as HTML's. If someone sends me one I can resend it also save as stationary etc. When I try to save or send direct from P.P. when I click file & save they just dissappear. demon.

demon - animated .gif files should move around nicely when someone receives the email. Often not when you stuff them in to send though.

If you want to be sure, send a copy to yourself and see if it behaves.

Safer as attachments though if you want the pics to survive many re-transmits. Sometimes the embedded ones will get broken by someone's email and not work if they try to pass them on.
