    Hello
I got a new computer about 1 month ago and for the last 2 weeks I've been getting this popup from my virus program:

    C:\SYSTEM VOLUME INFORMATION\_RESTORE{35E7B300-0D48-43C6-A8E3-F4A4A7C8BF41}\RP32\A0002289.EXE
19/08/2005,20:24:57 WARNING: Is the Trojan horse TR/VB.aad!

I have AntiVir version 6 installed by the computer builders. Do I possibly need a new Virus program? I have tried deleting, quarantine, wipe, deny access, but nothing seems to get rid of this problem. I don't notice any change in my computer except this popup is annoying.

You had the virus at some time - it has been cleaned from your system as it is not being detected elsewhere, but remains in System Restore which, as you know, will restore the computer to a previous state.

I would suggest that you disable System Restore - which will dump all previous Restore points and then re-enable it. This should clear up the problem. Clearly no sense in restoring a virus :)

There is no way I know of to determine which restore point has the infection or of deleting specific Restore points.

I had not heard of AntiVir until I read your post - suggest you dump it and go for AVG Free which is well known and reliable.
