    Good afternoon Staff and readers,
I just received from a close friend an email alert that stated the following executable file: jdbgmgr.exe contains a virus transmitted through one's email address book! I found this file in the Windows 98 folder on my C: drive as directed. The alert also stated that this file is recognizable by its "teddy bear" icon, which this file did indeed have. I have now deleted this file, but wonder if this is a legitimate virus or just a prank?
    Sincerely,
    Scott Dietert

    Thank you Brett,
I appreciate your prompt reply. After going throught the suggested hurdles to eliminate the "virus," I recalled a very similar situation during the last year with an identical scenario involving a different *.exe file whose name I've forgotten. So I wanted an independent opinion before I decided on my next move: 1)ignore or2) continue this misleading chain letter.
    Sincerely,
    Scott Dietert :)
