    Hi all,

My system seems to be running fine but last night I set the screen saver for 3d text mode and it came up in the time set .
I shut the puter down for the night and rebooted this am and left the house for about 20 min and came back and all i had was a black screen and could get no responce from the mouse or keyboard. I do NOT currently have the power management set for stand by they are all set at never so I know thats not the problem. It has done it twice so I turned off the screen saver mode. Any Ideas wouold greatly be appreciated.

    Thanks Stan

    Stay

Usually Video Card or memory related. You may want to back off your settings a little.

Here's a little more reading for you. Didn't one of those other links I sent you discuss some of the settings that were used on your MB to improve performance?

Not trying to avoid a direct answer but without being able to sit down with your machine, I could write many pages of things to check and do. That would be a waste of eveybody's time. This link should give you a very good perspective on just what I'm talking about and its much more thorough than I could ever be.
