    Greetings to all,

I have my PC working just fine now after running for about 2 months after formatting my C drive. I have religiously avoided downloading unwanted stuff from the web to avoid further problems.

Now I find a thing called "MacrMedia Flash 6" popping up EVERY time I change a page on my favorite web site forum. It tells me that "the page you are opening need MacroMedia Flash" etc. I click NO ( dont instal ) and the web page loads up normally every time ok.

Please, how do I get rid of this THING !!!

You won't like this but you get rid of that pop-up by downloading and installing MacroMedia Flash 6

    Kevin Hi
Flash is OK But I don't trust just any site to install it , rather just go to Macromedia my self,, shockwave flash.
even our PC came shipped with it Bundled with IE,, Microsoft's doing. so you should first go to control panel add-remove and uninstall the old shockwave flash if there. then check in tools > IE options >first page hit settings then view objects if there is still a shockwave flash there right click on it and choose remove.
    Then go get the latest
    Macromedia Flash Player: http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash
Then if they get annoying you could get :
SpywareBlaster - Prevent spyware from ever being installed!: http://www.wilderssecurity.net/spywareblaster.html
It has a flash killer,,(was just mentioned here at windows BBS)

Sometimes an add agency somehow highjacks flash player,, thats when my popup stoper comes in handy..
    Regards
    Lonny
