    Hello,
I am new to this so please bear with me. I have been getting pop ups that are driving me nuts. I have managed to clean up most of it. But something just will not go away. I have a Dell computer running XP SP2 and have windows updated. I have Norton Anti-Virus, Ad-Ware and Spybot all up to date. I have been reading the threads and know that I have a problem, I'm just unsure exactly what to do next. I have turned off the system restore. And know that I have the following that needs to be removed:

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [MSMSGS] "C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe" /background
    O16 - DPF: {525A15D0-4938-11D4-94C7-0050DA20189B} - http://www.easports.com/downloads/games/common/snoopy/iesnoopy.cab

Can someone please tell me if there is anything else that I need to remove, or if there is anything else that I should do to repair things. Thanks for your help! :D My HighjackThis log is below:

    Welcome to WindowsBBS jessie62 :)

You need to create a new folder in C: or on your desktop named HJT, and place HijackThis.exe in it, then run from there.

You should also fix the following, and delete the bolded files/folder in safe mode.

    R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,CustomizeSearch = res://C:\PROGRA~1\Toolbar\toolbar.dll/sa
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Int ernet Settings,ProxyOverride = 127.0.0.1....fix this unless you set it yourself
    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar,LinksFolderName =
R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {454F9792-0308-5DFC-7EE8-0195CDABDDC8} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\jiqg.dll
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Aida] C:\Documents and Settings\The McConnell's\Application Data\eetu.exe
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Cjts] C:\WINDOWS\system32\?hkntfs.exe

Empty all temp folders, Temporary Internet Files, C:\Windows\Prefetch and recycle bin.

Post a new HJT log when back in Windows.

Looks good. :) Also recommend you open Spybot and click mode on the toolbar, then advanced mode. Click immunize in the left pane, then immunize again, this time from above with the green + beside it. Click the link below that for SpywareBlaster, download, install, enable all protection and update. Check for updates regularly. Then, still in Spybot, click tools button, then IE tweaks and at least lock the HOSTS file.
    Then download and install IESpyad.

That will give you some added layers of protection against unwanted parasites.
