    Hi All,

I recently went to trend micro.com to use House call virus scan as I always have in the past to double check for viruses. I was useing IE 6.0 and had no problems. Now that I am useing NS 7.1 I am haveing problems.

#1 I logged to trenad micro and was asked to d load the plug in to be able to use scan. That consisted of SunJava..
so I allowed it to d load and install. I closed NS and reopened I still get the same thing. It says I still need the plug in.

#2 I recall installing that when I origanally installed NS 7.1 did I not install or set right?

Can someone help me to understand this dilema?

    Regards,

    FireDancer

There may not be a dilema at all... According to their FAQ only IE is supported.

    http://www.trendmicro.com/en/products/desktop/housecall/more/faqs.htm#04

    However, this page:

    http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp
states that Netscape 3.01 and above are supported, though this information may be old (and they refer to the FAQ above).

However, I haven't actually tested housecall, since I have no means of testing it (no IE, no Windows).

If you really need housecall, you can always use it with IE as you have been doing until now.

    HTH

    Thanks

    Tranquilo,

Thanks I have seen the second link that you posted for me.
Im not sure why the plugin isnt working I will have to investigate it a bit more but as far as Trend Micro goes I can always use IE 6.0 to use it.

I was useing trend for a back up ocasionally to make sure my AV didnt miss something.
