Please help me "how to install LINUX"

Before you install on the hard drive try out a "Live" linux version. By "Live" is meant, you download an linux.ISO file and use your cd burner software to "create cd from image ". Then stick in the cd and restart the computer. The computer boots from the cd and the linux operating system runs from the cd and ram ONLY, it does not put anything on the hard drive.

This will run a lot slower than a hrad drive install, but will give the opportunity to get familiar with linux. Once familiar, and if like it, you can install to hard drive easily. Most of these Live version have an install to hard disk link.
