Please help! Domain name help!

Hey all,

I need help with something. How do I set up a domain name for free, just for the purpose of receiving and sending emails from it. I want to choose my own name for it and not just a yahoo or hotmail account, you know? AOL will have this pretty soon as a free feature but not yet. I know those services are out there and I need one.

Also, maybe I'll go the route of getting a domain and then a simple website for people to check out. Doesn't have to have credit card acceptance features at this time.
