When I start my computer I get a window that states "PLAS service has stopped working ". Could someone please explain what this is?

    Hi again Jim,

This action would only be appropriate if you use[d] their product. So again, I ask, purely out of curiosity now, do/did you?

    Sorry goddez1.
Yes I do use ParetoLogic Plus as my antivirus program. I just got a new computer with Windows Vista, never had any trouble on my old computer with Windows XP.

Thanks Jim. I wasn't sure. I looked, for quite sometime, for a PLAS vista service reference and wasn't able to find any, other than an older post on another public board posted by yourself, I believe. I assume this is because it is not an actually service, as would be listed in "services ", but a file, now known as plusservice.exe.

I sure hope the fact that it is being fussy doesn't indicate that some critter has gotten to ya'. In any case, please let me know what this turned out to be and the fix that works for you.

Glad I was able to point you in the right dirrection. Thanks for the update and your most welcome. :)
