I'm trying to use my Studio program to capture video from my Sony Handycam. I have done this numerous times with no problems, until now. I get tons of dropped frames while capturing the video. For example, my latest attempt is a 1 hour video. After completing the capture, I see that almost 70,000 frames have been dropped. Not a good sign. When I go into the Edit part of the program, my 60 minute video is only 11 minutes due to all the dropped frames.

I have tried saving to different locations on my hard drives, defragging all drives, turning off all possible programs (including my AV program), and trying different settings. Nothing seems to help.

Short of uninstalling/reinstalling the program, I don't know what to do. Any suggestions? I do have an email in to Pinnacle's customer support, but their reply says it may take 48 to get back to me. If each reply takes that long, it could be weeks before I figure this out with their help. :(

    Thanks for any suggestions!

    Mike

I'm closing this thread and moving it

This problem seems to be a bandwidth problem. Since I feel that this is more of a XP/hardware issue, I have started a new thread here. I tried to just edit the title, but I couldn't. Thanks for looking.
