Does anyone know why ping does not work at "C:\" prompt?
It used to work when I was setting up a wirless network and I could ping the other computer. Now the screen says that this is not a recognisable command or any other command that I type in.:(

    yainni - you said
Did you really mean that you can't get any command to run from a DOS prompt?

Also, are you starting the DOS window with cmd or with command?

Command (on any NT system) will give you an old 16bit screen and cmd will give you a much newer and more powerful 32bit one.

Type PATH and see what you get for the environmental statement.
