I use Microsoft Internet Explorer Ver 6.0.2800.---
    My service is DSL Bellsouth.net
I get email through that servive via Microsoft Outlook Express.

Now, I get good email with pictures etc - everything's OK.

However, when folks "FORWARD" me email that has
pictures in them (yes "in" - they are not attachments) I
get the text in black/white and color but:

Any background patterns is missing - and -
most terrible of all those pictures are replaced by
a little outlined box - with a little outlined box within it - and
a red X within the latter box.

I ask folks to resend and I lose friends fast !
    So, what is happening?
Which end of the email trail is the error occuring?

Before I insult any more of my friends I need a solution
to do (or to ask them to do).

    Thanks

    Picturless solved

This problem has nothing to do with the computer - they work just fine. The problem is humans not knowing the rules.

It seems that we need to know if a picture is "attached "
    or "inserted" at the source.

When the email gets forwarded over and over the reference to
the file location is sometimes lost. Therefore we get that red x.

    Thanks for looking.
