I recently recieved a Power Point file from a friend and found there were a few pictures (animated) in it that I would like to keep separately from the power point itself.

Is it possible to save these "animated Gifs" to disk some how?? I've tried cutting them and copying but can't seem to save them to, for example, my Documents folder.

I have been able to do it with non animated pictures but not animated.

    Does anyone have any ideas....

Can use the Print Screen button while viewing them. Then paste into MS Paint.

Thats good for non-animated pictures but I want to keep the animated pictures.

If I use print screen or cut and paste it removes the animation from the picture.

Did you save em as .gif and then try and open with Internet Explorer?

Okay when I have the file in Power Point, it will allow me to edit them, however when I right click I am given the option to copy the picture (in this case a "animated Gif "). Now once I have done that and goto the folder I want to save it, I have no option to paste or save etc, the picture.

As I've said, if I paste it into MicroSoft Paint I will lose the animation. I want the picture to stay animated.

One other thing, if I paste it into Paint, I also lose alot of the color.

So MicroSoft Paint will not work for what I want to do...

Here is a *free* program that supports animated .gifs (and alot of other things)... Irfanview. Enjoy. :D

Be sure to download the 'plugins' also.

Paste them to Irfanview, a free graphics management program that the writer would not obejct to being sent 10 Euros!
