Picture transfer to MS Access data base

Before I upgraded to XP from 98 I was able to insert a picture from my Image Expert folders into a form in my Access database.
Now when I select "Insert" from the Access tool bar, the hourglass icon is displayed and the program seems to freeze up. A couple of times I received the message that the process was unable to complete because the OLE server was not loaded or was not registered. I have no idea what it is talking about or what procedure to take to cure the problem. I definiteley need some step-by-step help if possible.

I am using 2000 (OS and office suite). When I insert a picture on a form I click on the image icon on the toolbar draw the box where I want the pic and it automatically opens a file dialog box to select the picture.

I don't know what else to tell ya.
