I dont know what happened but when I go to view my photos/pics I only get the default windows icon, no photo. I usually select view/thumbnails but now it just shows an icon. Any ideas?

kiddk--When you open the link PeteC gave you, you have to scroll to Thumbnail View--about half way down the webpage. All the info is in alphabetical order by subject. Subjects, however, are a little hard to pick out, since they are just a little bolder than the rest of the type. PeteC was referring you to this "Fix "

did this and it fixed the problem.

    run system file checker.
Put your XP CD in the drive, open a command prompt and type:
    sfc /scannow
