In the past, when i turned on my computer, my printer went on with all my other equipment at the same time. the bells & whistles sounded and the printer did its calibration, moved the ink cartridges back and forth, finally settling down in its proper place. the print lite went solid. READY TO GO

Now, when the above takes place, instead of ready to go, it prints out a test page each time I turn on the computer. How do I stop this action from happening.

I contacted HP. they told me that my power should stay on all the time. I shut my computer down at night, but I leave the power button bar on as they suggested. This morning, it printed out another TEST PAGE.

I originally had windows 2000. Now I have Windows xp x64, but the driver file number is the same for 2000, xp- x64. However, I noticed that there is about 10mb less in the xp x64 O/S file download.

Could this be a driver problem?:(.
    Recommendations please!

    Thank you
