Photoshop & Scanner

    When I import a photo or text jpg from my Canon scanner, I get a very nice picture but photoshop comes up with no controls. I cannot do anything with it, including save. All controls are greyed out and nothing can be moved and PS cannot be closed either.

    Does the same happen if you open your image editor and then open your pciture from within it, rather than importing?

    To do that, I would (1) open PS (2) save image from scanner import, (3) close image and reimport from a saved image.

    I will try it but it is not the way it is supposed to work nor the way it used to work
