Photo Deluxe Home Edition WEB.DLL Problem

Hi,
This problem just started but when I try to activate Photo Deluxe Home Edition 3.0, I get the message " A required DLL file, WEB.DLL was not found. "
I have used this program for a long time, and then suddenly I get this message. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Hello opheim1,

Try reinstalling the software on top of the current one. WinME has System Restore, don't know if your in the habit of using it, but I would create a manual restore prior to this.

The other option instead of reinstall is to restore to a point prior to the problem, If no changes to the system were made since that time, meaning MS updates or new program installs; they would have to be re-done.

WEB.DLL file missing

Thanks charlesvar for your suggestions. Normally they would work I think, but I don't have the software, and to restore would be too far backwards without upsetting newly installed programs and up-dated files.

What you can do is the following:

Restore to that point prior to WEB.DLL missing - copy the .dll out and then undoing the restore back to the present and download to where it belongs.

It has been several months since used the program, so don't know when the problem started. Probably months ago.

Ok, a few more suggestions:

This site http://www.dll-files.com/ has .dll files. I searched for WEB DLL and no hit, but there is an interactive "ask the experts" feature, perhaps you can make use of that.

Search google and see what you get.

Find Photo Deluxe's home page and see whether they either can answer a question or perhaps they have an option for accessing .dll files

Thanks for your input. I was able to solve the problem by installing HP Scan Jet which had the Photo Deluxe as part of the install. I had forgotten about it.
