How do you permanently expand the tree in windows Explorer so that every time you open it you see everything?
Also, when I open a new window in IE, it is not full size. How do I make always open full?
    Thanks.

Right click on Windows Explorer icon, click "Properties "
    In "Target" box paste this:
    %SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /e, c:
The above will open Windows Explorer with C drive tree expanded.

    1. Open IE to a page with links.
    2. Right click a link and in the menu that opens, left click "Open in new window "
    3. Drag the edges and corners of the new window to the size and placement you want. Do not use the maximize button
    4. Close the original window This won't work unless you close the original window first!
    5. Close the window you resized

IE should then open all windows to the size and placement of the window you resized in step #3.

To get away from the vagarities of IE re. window size I have used IE New Window Maximiser for years - currently on IE9 Win 7
